Continuing Standard’s tradition as a family oriented club, members and their children, grandchildren and guests spend warm summer days relaxing by the Olympic size pool, and ordering lunch or dinner from the snack bar while sipping their favorite cold refreshments. An adjunct children’s pool and two age appropriate playgrounds are available in the pool area for the day long entertainment of the children.

Club parties and social events are also celebrated throughout the season at the pool. Members’ favorite poolside parties with special activities, contests and prizes include family celebrations on Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day. Private pool parties for any special event are always welcomed.

Summer Swim, Tennis and Activities Camps are centered around the pool. Camps are offered from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Tuesday through Fridays in June and July, with golf instruction offered to campers on Thursdays. These camps provide the children with an overview of all activities offered at the club. Developing individual interests can be explored further at Tennis Clinics, and Golf Clinics and Camps.

Children of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to join Standard’s Swim Team, the “Sharks.” The “Sharks” participate in Louisville’s Summer Fun League whose first goal is fun and second is to improve children’s swimming ability and stroke technique. Swim practice is offered seven times a week, chose the times that fit into your busy summer schedule. Our swim coach is also available for group or individual swim lessons year round.
